This is probably the only vinyl record you will ever see on
this site. This is the 12" vinyl promo only copy of a live
version of Blue Oyster Cult's "Godzilla". I'm including here
because I've always been a big Blue Oyster Cult (and as you
know a HUGE Godzilla) fan. I feel this is the definitive
tribute song to the original 1954 "Godzilla" film. The music
is very catchy and the lyrics are a great tribute and not a
parody or send up of our giant lizard friend. If you were
fortunate enough to have seen BOC perform this song live at
concerts during the 70's & 80's you probably got a special
treat. At most of these concerts when this song was performed
the drummer would do a solo with strobe lights and during the
solo would don a realistic looking Godzilla head. On some tours
they even had a huge stage prop and backdrop for Godzilla.
This song is one of my all time favorite Godzilla tunes as well
as one of my all time favorite Blue Oyster Cult songs.
