I was recently able to listen to a copy of this rare game music disk from 1994 (I don't own a copy) and was pleasantly surprised at how much I liked it. I usually don't care much for the music on these type CD's but this one grabbed me. The music is entirely instrumental with the exception of some interspersed roars and sound effects from Godzilla, Rodan and others. The music is very fast paced and done in a variety of styles. A little infectious pop, some jazz, synthesizers and more. While it's not entirely familiar Godzilla themes, they are mixed in throughout the disk, there is also much new new music composed for the disc. Track #9 features a Spanish guitar sound with monster effects throughout (a very strange combination indeed) and the striking front cover is actually the awesome poster from Godzilla vs King Ghidora from 1991 (for those of you who didn't know). If you listen to this expecting a Godzilla soundtrack you will be highly disappointed but if you listen knowing it's game music and can accept that, then I'm pretty sure you'll find this an enjoyable disc. I'm just sorry it's so short at just over 30 minutes.

If anyone knows who composed or did this music, please send me an e-mail with the info.
