September 19, 2006 This CD is #110 in the Animex 1200 set limited release (limited to 5,000 copies). In general, most of the ANIMEX CDs are budget reissues of older Columbia LPs. This one is priced at a reasonable $10.25 US at http://www.cdjapan.co.jp/. I am not a huge Ultraman fan so take what I say with a grain of salt. I haven't seen a lot of Ultraman shows but always felt they were too much geared toward young children. This particular CD had nothing that grabbed my attention. It was pleasant enough to listen to and for the price a worthy addition to the Ultraman collector. There were a few variations on Ultraman themes I've heard on other discs. Some of the other tracks would have been right at home as background music in the old Star Trek: The Original Series or old Twilight Zone episodes. |
