This is another fine sounding CD of Ifukube work. The first two tracks belonging to "Japanese Rhapsody" are fast paced and have a sound that would feel right at home in an Arabian Nights movie. Very catch and infectious. Tracks 3 & 4 belonging to "Symphonic Ballad" are much slower and have a flamenco guitar feel to them. Mostly guitar music on these two tracks. The final track is also guitar oriented and would fit right in with the previous two tracks. Overall a very enjoyable CD and one that will be hard to find. I know "Japanese Rhapsody" appears also on other CD's and think the other tracks may also be on other CD's.

Note: This CD was reissued in 1997 with different packaging as TOCE-9434.
