May 24, 2001 This CD released in 1991 brings us music from six different movies: "DESTROY ALL MONSTERS", "VAMPIRE DOLL", "LAKE OF DRACULA", "EVIL OF DRACULA", "LATITUDE ZERO" and "GODZILLA'S REVENGE". This is one of the few discs in this series that had music on it I hadn't heard before and that may not be available as a seperate disc in expanded form. The music I hadn't heard before are the Riichirou Manabe tracks for "VAMPIRE DOLL", "LAKE OF DRACULA" and "EVIL OF DRACULA" but there are tracks from each on Disc 8 of the "KING OF THE MONSTERS BOX SET" listed as, "Bloodsucking Doll", "Bloodsucking Eyes" and "Bloodsucking Rose" (listed as alternate titles on the IMDb). Riichirou Manabe is known for his score to "Godzilla vs. Megalon" and "Godzilla vs The Smog Monster". "DESTROY ALL MONSTERS", "LATITUDE ZERO" and "GODZILLA'S REVENGE" show up later on Futureland releases in expanded form with each movie getting a full disc of it's own. Each of the 10 volumes in this CD series gives slighly more or less than an hour of music. Since they were released back in 1991 there is a very good chance they are now out of print and hard to find. You may still occasionally run into them on eBay or other auction sites and may even run across a copy elsewhere. They are well worth picking up if you don't already have other CD's with this music on them or are a completist as many of us are. |
