REVIEW

March 12, 2004

This Futureland recital is made up of vocal tracks sung by Yumi Aikawa and composed by Akira Ifukube. I found Ms. Aikawa's voice a bit harsh and hard to take. Most of the vocals here sound very similar to opera music. I am not a big fan of opera so didn't care much for these vocal stylings. However if you are an opera fan then I think you would find this CD very entertaining. The orchestration here is also very sparse with most accompaniment done with just a lone piano.
