David Schecter of Monstrous Movie Music at: http://www.mmmrecordings.com/ has put out three new, wonderful CD's of old "B" movies from the 1950's full of rare tracks. I am a big fan of his CD's and own all of them. You can't go wrong with these CD's. Plus this CD and the other two in this series (MMM-1959 & MMM-1960) are limited editions. Only 1,000 of each are being made. It also comes with a very nice, informative foldout booklet.
"The Monster That Challenged The World" was released in 1957. I have seen this movie many times in my lifetime and it's always fun to watch. Some of the main stars of the movie will look familiar to people who have watched movies and TV shows from the 1950's & 1960's. The female lead, Audrey Dalton, appeared in several movies & TV shows of that time period including the 1953 version of the movie "Titanic". Hans Conried is also very well known for many TV and movie parts. Probably best known for the recurring role of Uncle Tonoose on "The Danny Thomas Show". His distinctive voice was also used in many animated shows including being the voice of Captain Hook in Walt Disney's "Peter Pan" and the voice of Snidely Whiplash in the Dudley Do-Right cartoons. One of the pieces of music on this CD was used in the US version of "King Kong vs. Godzilla".
