On May ??, 2013 David Schecter and the crew of Monstrous Movie Music at: http://www.mmmrecordings.com/ put out four new, wonderful CD's of old "B" movies from the 1950's full of rare tracks. Only two of the four are suitable for the theme of this site. I am a big fan of his CD's and own most of them. You can't go wrong with any of the CD's from their site. It's easy to see and hear how much work and soul they put into each release. Nowhere else but on their CD's can you find the music from these early 1950's & 1960's Sci-Fi, monster and horror films.

This CD contains no music used in Godzilla movies but is a great listening experience. This CD falls under the "... And Other Monster Music" in the title of this site. This CD actually contains the music to two films. The first one (Hellgate)is a western and the second (Lost Continent) stars recognizable names from films of that period and later. Stars like Caesar Romero, Hillary Brooke, Whit Bissell (who seems to pop up in many movies) and Hugh Beaumont (mostly known as father Ward Cleaver in the TV show "Leave It To Beaver"). The movie is a low budget dinosaur adventure and the dinos don't show up until the last 30 minutes of the movie. By today's standards these movies are pretty tame. The low budgets and the special effects (in some cases done poorly) seem silly today but in their day it was amazing they could accomplish what they did in movies considering what they had to work with. No computers or CGI back then.
