REVIEW

Feb. 12, 2000

Track #1 from the Akira Kurosawa movie is in Stereo here and has a very jazz feel to it. It uses lots horns and drums. It alternates between a very fast style and a laid back slow style. Track #2 features a harmonica and sounds as if it would be at home in an old western or a romantic French movie. Track #3 is a slow mellow tune while Track #4 is more of a toe tapper again featuring a harmonica. Track #5 is back to a slow, bluesy tune. The rest of the tracks are in the same vein as the previous tracks in that some are slow, romantic sounding tunes and others are faster tunes with a jazz or blues feel to them.

All in all I enjoyed this CD. Again, this is more the type music you put on when you just want to relax with some music that won't hype you up.
