REVIEW

August 30, 2008

The C <-> Y Project of this CD is made up of Chiyoko Noguchi on violin and Yoshiko Kanda on percussion. There are a variety of well known songs on this CD done with a bit of different style considering the songs are done by two individuals employing only percussion and violin. While the instrumental songs on this disc will be familiar, the way they are done and the variations used can sometimes sound a bit strange. Overall I enjoyed listening to this CD. It was refreshingly and surprisingly different from what could be expected by the song titles. The CD is listed on this site because track 11 is Akira Ifukube's "A Theme Of Godzilla". Also tracks 7 & 12 were arranged by another Godzilla composer, Michiru Oshima.
