This is the second volume of Kunio Miyauchi’s themes for the earliest Japanese monster TV series created by master effects guru Eiji Tsuburaya. This 28 episode series was a cross between The Twilight Zone and The Outer Limits and highly respected as one Japan’s most well produced series. Tsuburaya reportedly only stopped production after 28 episodes only because his crew was fatigued by all the effort they had put into each show. This CD is not made up of the music that wasn’t good enough for volume 1, rather it represents mostly more of the light themes for comic and non-monster situations, though there are quite a few of Miyauchi’s typical 1950s-style "B"-movie horror motifs to be heard. A worthwhile companion disc to the first with good crisp mono sound.
