| REVIEW |
Disc 2 covers the period of 1954 to 1960 and is one of my favorites from this set. The first suite of music is from "Seven Samurai" which I really enjoyed. It has a nice theme running throughout the track. Track #2 has a kind of jazz feel to it and also some strange sounds like someone playing a saw. Track #3 is a mixed suite that has a medieval, samurai sound to it and also a section with what sounds like a chorus of soldiers singing. Track #4 contains some movie dialogue and men singing accapella. Track #5 is mostly action oriented music that reminded me of some of the Hollywood epics like "Ben Hur". Track #6 is also an action oriented suite that has places with a mambo type sound mixed with jazz. Sound here is nice and clear, no background noise. |
