REVIEW

Disc 3, unlike Disc 2 has very little in the way of vocals. Here we start out with the first five tracks being from films we're familiar with and music that's also familiar. About half this disc is made up of music from films I've never heard of before. However, this is another overall good disc like Disc 1. A really good mix of action, suspense and slower tunes.

Track 6 - ESPY (ESPAI)
Dec 28 1974, 94m, dir Jun Fukuda (Toho)
An excellent cast (Hiroshi 'Masked Rider' Fujioka, Tomisaburo 'Lone Wolf' Wakayama etc) and a fun premise (psychic espionage) but a dull movie. The only scene I remember is the horrendously un-PC one where Kaoru Yumi gets pawed by (horrors!) a black man.

Track 10 - SUPERGIRL REIKO (CHOSHOJO REIKO)
Nov 16 1991, 100m, dir Takao Ogawara (Toho)
Psychic high schoolers versus a poltergeist, from the director of GODZILLA vs MECHAGODZILLA.

Tracks 11/12 - BLUE CHRISTMAS aka BLUE STIGMA
Nov 23 1978, 133m, dir Kihachi Okamoto (Toho
) Blue light from UFOs turns people into pacifists, who are then hunted down by governments.

Track 13 - SAYONARA JUPITER aka BYE BYE JUPITER
Mar 17 1984, 219m, dir Koji Hashimoto (Toho)
Hippies try to sabotage a project to move Jupiter into the path of a black hole headed for Earth. Akihiko Hirata's last movie.

Track 14 - WAR IN SPACE (WAKUSEI DAISENSO, lit PLANETARY WAR)
Dec 17 1977, 91m, dir Jun Fukuda (Toho)
Basically ATRAGON for the STAR WARS generation. The baddie leader is Hel, with a yeti bodyguard with laser horns.
