This 2-CD set features the complete scores to "Frankenstein Conquers The World" and "War Of The Gargantuas" plus adds a bonus, 8 alternate main title themes from various Toho sci-fi films on Disc One. Track #43 from that disc is the rare alternate main title to "Godzilla vs Mothra" (1964) and the only other place to find this track seems to be the single disc to the "Dagora" soundtrack (TYCY-5503), which also features a collection of Godzilla outtakes. The single CD's to "Frankenstein Conquers The World" (TYCY-5504) and "War Of The Gargantuas" (TYCY-5505) offer some additional outtakes, sound effects, and audio trailers not found on this 2-CD set. In addition, the single CD's benefit from improved mastering and do sound better than this double set which was released back in 1992. However the Akira Ifukube 2-CD sets do sound good and Volumes 1-8 are becoming extremely hard to find lately. Also, these two scores in particular are becoming super rare, so if you spot either the single CD's or this Akira Ifukube #6 double, GRAB THEM FAST!
